Fake News Relating to Coronavirus at GM Klang
(5 February, Klang) – GM Klang Wholesale City Management has been receiving many
enquiries from concerned members of the public in relation to unfounded news that the
Malaysian man infected by coronavirus as reported widely in the press is a businessman in
GM Klang.
We are saddened to find that irresponsible people have been spreading rumors and fake
news relating to the coronavirus and causing unnecessary panic during a sensitive time like
this.
A report has been lodged to Malaysia Communications & Multimedia Commission (MCMC)
for further investigation & action towards these cyber-crimes.
This matter is being viewed seriously and we will not hesitate to take legal action against
anyone found spreading fake news about GM Klang.
We urge members of the public to exercise good judgment and caution prior to sharing any
news that has not been verified.
